Working in the oil and gas industry in Alberta just got a lot easier. With more and more companies expanding the drilling in Northern Alberta, the rise for jobs are showing. There are so many jobs that require no experience at all and the starting pay is around $24.00 per hour CDN.
If you are looking for a great job with benefits, this is where you might want to start looking. Students from all over the world are getting hired on by these companies for 2-3 month contracts. Bringing in a total of $15,000.00 for 2 to 3 months of work. This is great for students.
Some jobs are as simple as driving workers to the job site, delivering tools, plans etc. These are the jobs that start at $24 per hour. Once your in with these companies, there is always room to move up.
Remember, working in the oil and gas in Alberta is lots of work, long hours and labour intense. There is a lot of money to be made in a short season.Tuesday, May 11, 2010
Oil and gas recruitment
We know some sure tips on getting hired with these companies. Make sure you read the full contract before you sign. There are companies that only pay overtime if your marker has been met. Listen and talk to others that are in this field. The company that has the most call backs are the ones you want to work for. This means they treat their staff great and offer excellent benefits.
When applying we have one major tip for you. Never tell them in the interview that you are a family man/women. They tend to not pick these types of people because they know that 60% of the time these people won't be back. The oil companies make more money when they don't have to retrain. I know, oil companies need more money. Certain careers like the family type, but not this one. I should know, I was once incharge of going through application.
The bottom line is yes, there are lots of oil and gas jobs in Alberta. If you know where to look you can make some good cash.

Oil and gas jobs in Alberta today.
Working in the oil fields is not a easy job, nor is it fun. The money that can be made is crazy. I use to work in the admin. for a company in Northern Alberta and can tell you the paychecks are big. The average age in this industry is 28 years. Most senior in management (40 years old and up) you can score great jobs at the early age of 19.
The money is nice, the hours are long. If you want to make some serious cash in a short period of time, this might be for you. I know of students that had made $15,000 for 7 weeks of work.
One note: Make sure you read the contract before you sign. They offer a lot of benefits and overtime, but you have to be careful on what you agree to. A site worth searching is oil jobs in Alberta, this has a lot of information for you to research on.
